Ady is 13 years old and does not listen anymore to his father who raises him alone. The latter, exhausted, decides to entrust Ady to his uncle Amadou for a summer. Uncle Amadou and his family live on the other side of the Mediterranean … in Burkina Faso! There, at 13, you must become a man but Ady, persuaded to go on vacation, do not hear it that way …

Filmmaker and critic

Born in Sweden to a Swiss mother and a Polish father, Berni has lived in Burkina Faso for over 20 years and produced and directed numerous projects from West Africa. His mixed upbringing and multi-cultural experiences cultivated a curiosity for experiences other than his own, and this has shaped many of his projects – including Wallay.
